Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 2026-10-11
About these Terms
Serhat Gökçe, operating as Yarnbie ("we", "us", and "our"), is the person legally responsible for the Yarnbie mobile application and yarnbie.com (the "Services"). These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Services. Our contact email is support@yarnbie.com.
Legal address: OĞUZLAR MAH. 1397 CAD. 11 UFUK ÖE.Ö.YUR. NO: 11 İÇ KAPI NO: 1 ÇANKAYA/ ANKARA, Türkiye.
By using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services. Our Privacy Policy explains how we process personal information; agreement to these Terms does not replace any separate permission required for data sharing.
These Terms apply to every person who accesses or uses the Services on or after the effective date above, regardless of when their account was created or when their content was submitted. They replace all earlier versions of our terms. If you created your account under an earlier version, your continued access to or use of the Services after the effective date means that these Terms govern your account, your use of the Services, and the content that remains in the Services. If you do not agree, you must stop using the Services and may delete your account as described below.
Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Services. Provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. You are responsible for your use of the Services, but not for matters for which applicable law makes us responsible.
What Yarnbie provides
Yarnbie provides AI-assisted crochet and knitting analyses, ideas, patterns, chat assistance, project tools, and community features. Availability, usage limits, and paid features are described in the app or on the website and may depend on your plan, device, or region.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use the Services for their intended purposes while you comply with these Terms. Yarnbie’s software, branding, and original service materials remain the property of their respective owners. These Terms do not transfer ownership of them to you.
Personal analyses and community posts
You select the files or images you submit for analysis. Generated analysis instructions are saved in your personal library. Yarnbie does not provide a community feature for publishing these personal analysis instructions directly to other users. Community posts are separate submissions and may include project descriptions and images that you choose to share.
Keeping material in a personal library does not exempt it from applicable intellectual property rights or our complaint and removal process.
AI processing and limitations
AI features use third-party services, including Google’s Gemini API. To fulfill an AI request, relevant uploaded images, prompts, messages, and supporting conversation or pattern context are sent to the AI provider. Details about this processing are in our Privacy Policy and the applicable provider policies. Where permission is requested, you must allow the transfer before that AI operation proceeds.
AI-generated results may be inaccurate, incomplete, impractical, or similar to other results. Check stitch counts, measurements, materials, instructions, and suitability before relying on a pattern. Use particular care with items intended for children or uses involving physical safety.
We do not guarantee that an output is unique, copyrightable, free of third-party rights, or suitable for commercial use. An AI transformation does not remove rights in an original pattern or image. You must assess the permissions needed before publishing, selling, or otherwise using content.
Your content and intellectual property
You retain the rights you hold in material you submit. You must have the rights and permissions necessary to upload it, have it processed by our service providers, and, for community submissions, publish it if you choose to do so. Buying or downloading a pattern does not necessarily grant permission to submit it to AI services, reproduce it, or share it publicly.
You grant Yarnbie a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, reproduce, transmit, process, adapt for technical purposes (such as resizing, reformatting, and translating), and display your content as needed to deliver the features you request, operate, maintain, secure, and protect the Services, and comply with law. We may sublicense these rights to the service providers that perform those functions for us. For community content you choose to publish, this license also covers publicly displaying and distributing that content, together with your username and public profile information, within the Services, on yarnbie.com, and in previews generated when a link to it is shared or indexed. This license does not transfer ownership of your content or grant an unrestricted right to sell it.
This license covers content you submit on or after the effective date and content you submitted earlier that remains in the Services. It lasts for as long as the content remains in the Services. When you delete content, this license ends except to the extent needed for remaining copies retained under our Privacy Policy, legal obligations, or resolving disputes. Copies already received or independently shared by other users may remain outside our control. Nothing here grants you ownership of third-party material appearing in an AI output.
Each time you submit content, you confirm that you own it or hold all rights, licenses, and permissions needed to submit it and to grant the license above; that the content and its use as described in these Terms do not infringe or violate any other person’s copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights; and that it does not breach any agreement or law that applies to you. When you accept these Terms, or continue to use the Services after their effective date, you give the same confirmation for content you submitted earlier that remains in the Services. If any of that content is not yours, or you do not hold the rights and permissions needed for it, you must delete it or contact Yarnbie using the details at the end of these Terms so that we can remove it. You are solely responsible for the content you submit.
Yarnbie hosts and processes content at the direction of its users. We do not pre-screen all content, are not its publisher or author, and have no general obligation to monitor it. Crochet and knitting rely on shared stitches, techniques, shapes, and conventions, and AI features can produce similar results for different people. Other users’ content, AI outputs, and Yarnbie’s own materials may therefore resemble your content without having been copied from it. To the extent permitted by law, you agree that such resemblance alone does not give you a claim against Yarnbie, and that a concern about specific material is to be raised first through the complaint and removal process described below.
If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback about the Services, we may use them without restriction and without any obligation or compensation to you.
Respect for Third-Party Rights
You must not use Yarnbie to upload, reproduce, adapt, publish, or distribute content in violation of another person’s copyright or other intellectual property rights. This applies to source files, generated instructions, and community posts, whether stored in your personal library or shared with others. You must not present another person’s work as your own, or remove or alter copyright notices, author credits, or other rights management information without authorization or a legal right to do so.
Acceptable use and community rules
Do not use the Services to infringe copyright or other rights; publish unauthorized copies of paid patterns; remove attribution to misrepresent ownership; expose private information; harass, threaten, or impersonate others; distribute unlawful or abusive content; send spam; commit fraud; bypass usage limits; or compromise service security.
You may report problematic content using available reporting controls or support@yarnbie.com. We may investigate, restrict access, or remove content that violates these Terms or applicable law. Repeated or serious violations may result in account restrictions or termination. We may act urgently to protect people, rights, or the Services, and provide notice and an opportunity to raise a mistake where appropriate.
Protection against unauthorized collection of Yarnbie content and data
Without Yarnbie’s prior written permission, you must not scrape, crawl, harvest, bulk-download, mirror, or systematically collect or extract content or data from Yarnbie’s website, application, APIs, or other systems. This restriction covers Yarnbie’s content, pattern collections, images, text, site materials, and service data, as well as user content made available through the Services. Public accessibility does not itself authorize systematic collection or extraction.
You must not use bots, scripts, automated tools, or coordinated manual collection to copy or reconstruct our content collections or databases, obtain service data for external data analysis or mining, create datasets, train AI models, republish content at scale, or build another service from extracted material. You must not bypass access controls, rate limits, or other protective measures to obtain content or data from Yarnbie.
This restriction concerns extracting content and data from Yarnbie; it does not prohibit ordinary use of Yarnbie’s analysis tools or expressly provided viewing, sharing, and export functions. Yarnbie reserves its applicable rights in its own content and databases, without claiming ownership of user or third-party works. Any non-waivable rights or exceptions under applicable law remain unaffected. Permission from Yarnbie does not replace any permission required from another rights holder. Requests for authorized access may be sent to support@yarnbie.com.
Content review, enforcement, and reservation of rights
Yarnbie reserves the right, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy, to review content and relevant account records that remain in the Services, including uploaded files, generated outputs, personal library items, and community posts. Reviews may address suspected infringement, unlawful or prohibited content, fraud, security risks, service errors, and compliance with applicable legal or app-store requirements. A review may begin following a report or on our own initiative and may cover retained material submitted before the effective date of these Terms. Storage in a personal library does not exempt material from such a review.
Where we reasonably consider action necessary for these purposes, we may reject an upload or generation request, limit a feature, restrict access to or remove specific content, or temporarily suspend an account pending investigation. We may terminate accounts for violations of these Terms, unlawful activity, or risks to users, rights holders, or the Services. We consider the available evidence, severity, recurrence, and appropriate scope of the response; action does not require a prior court ruling, a prior warning, or proof beyond our reasonable assessment.
Access to the Services is a permission we grant, not an entitlement. In addition to the cases above, and to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Yarnbie may at its sole discretion refuse registration, decline or remove any content, and suspend or permanently terminate any account or access to all or part of the Services, at any time and for any reason or no stated reason. We may also prevent a person whose account was terminated from registering again. Where we end a paid subscription without a breach on your part, any refund for the unused prepaid period is handled as required by applicable law and the rules of the billing provider. To the extent permitted by law, Yarnbie is not otherwise liable to you for removing content or for suspending or terminating access.
We may act without advance notice, including where delay would create a risk, compromise an investigation, or conflict with a legal obligation. Where practicable or required by law, we provide notice. Where lawful and appropriate, we explain the action and allow you to request review at support@yarnbie.com. Mandatory rights to reasons, appeal, redress, notice, or refunds remain unaffected. Account or content restrictions do not extinguish those rights.
These provisions govern reviews and actions undertaken after these Terms become applicable to you, including reviews of older retained material. They do not make previously permitted conduct a contractual breach retroactively, authorize processing without a lawful basis, or replace any required notice or consent. Limited relevant records may be preserved to investigate or defend legal claims, comply with preservation duties, or document enforcement, as described in our Privacy Policy.
Hosting, processing, or previously allowing content does not constitute an endorsement, a determination of ownership, or permission from a rights holder. A delay or failure to enforce a provision does not by itself waive our right to enforce it later, subject to applicable law. We reserve rights and remedies available under these Terms and applicable law. This reservation does not displace our own legal obligations or promise that every violation will be detected.
Copyright Complaints & Content Removal
If you are a rights holder or authorized representative and believe an uploaded file, generated output, personal library item, or community post infringes your copyright, use the available reporting control or email support@yarnbie.com. Include your first name, last name, email address, identification of the original work (or a representative list of works), and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate the material concerned. This may include a URL or identifier if available, screenshots, titles, dates, or other identifying details. You do not need to identify a private user account or provide an internal content ID that is unavailable to you. Explain the alleged infringement and your authority to make the complaint.
Our designated agent for notifications of claimed copyright infringement, registered with the U.S. Copyright Office under registration number DMCA-1082663, is:

Confirm that the information is accurate and that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is unauthorized. Include any additional statements or signature required by the law applicable to your notice. Do not submit knowingly false or misleading reports.
We promptly review sufficiently identified reports and may request supporting information, or restrict or remove content. In appropriate circumstances, we terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others. A person affected by an action may contact support@yarnbie.com with information supporting a review. Submitting a complaint does not itself establish infringement or guarantee removal. We handle report information as described in our Privacy Policy.
Payments, subscriptions, and cancellation
Paid features may be offered through Apple’s App Store, Google Play, or our website payment provider. The purchase screen identifies the price, currency, billing period, applicable trial, and included benefits. Subscription service providers help manage access to paid features.
Recurring subscriptions renew according to the terms shown at purchase unless cancelled through the provider that bills you. Cancel before that provider’s renewal deadline. Any trial conversion and renewal price are governed by the offer shown when you subscribe. Price changes are subject to applicable notice and consent requirements.
Manage an app-store subscription through your Apple or Google account, and a website subscription through the available billing portal or support. Deleting your account or uninstalling Yarnbie does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation generally stops future renewals; remaining access and refunds depend on the purchase terms, provider rules, and applicable law.
For purchase or refund questions, contact the billing provider or support@yarnbie.com. Nothing in these Terms excludes mandatory refund, withdrawal, or other consumer rights.
Third-party services
The Services depend on third-party infrastructure, authentication, AI, and payment services. Their applicable terms and privacy policies may also govern your interactions with them. In particular, use of Gemini-backed features must comply with applicable Google Gemini API terms and usage restrictions. Links to relevant provider information appear in our Privacy Policy.
We are not affiliated with an independent pattern designer merely because their work is mentioned in user content or an AI result. External links and user contributions do not imply endorsement. Third-party outages may affect feature availability; this does not remove any rights you have against us under applicable law.
Service Modifications
We may improve, modify, add, or discontinue features to maintain the usefulness, security, and efficiency of the Services or respond to technical, legal, or business changes. We may introduce paid features or change prices, but applicable charges and purchase terms will be clearly disclosed before you agree to pay. Merely using a previously free feature does not authorize an undisclosed charge.
Material changes affecting an existing paid service are subject to applicable notice, consent, cancellation, and refund requirements and the rules of the billing provider. We do not promise uninterrupted availability, but changes do not remove your mandatory consumer rights.
Your Account & Deletion
You can initiate account deletion inside the Application under Settings. Completed deletion removes your account profile and associated patterns, projects, and comments from active account records and cannot be undone through the Application. Treatment of stored uploads, backups, provider records, and information that must be retained for legal, security, or dispute purposes is explained in our Privacy Policy; deletion does not mean that every copy in every system disappears immediately.
Deleting your account or uninstalling the Application does not automatically cancel an active subscription. Cancel it through the app store or payment provider that bills you to prevent future renewals. You do not need to wait for a subscription to expire to request account deletion. Contact support@yarnbie.com if you need help with deletion or billing.
Updates & Termination
We may release updates and change supported devices or operating-system requirements. An update may be needed to continue using particular features or to address security or compatibility issues. We do not guarantee indefinite support for every device or operating-system version. Where required, we will provide information about material compatibility changes and preserve applicable rights relating to paid services.
We may suspend or terminate access as described in our content review and enforcement provisions. We may also discontinue all or part of the Services for business, technical, or legal reasons, with reasonable advance notice where practicable and any notice, cancellation, or refund required by law or the billing provider. You may stop using the Services and delete your account at any time.
When your access is terminated, the license to use the affected Services ends and you must stop accessing them. This does not transfer ownership of your original content to Yarnbie, extinguish accrued claims or mandatory rights, or automatically cancel a subscription. Provisions that need to continue, including outstanding lawful payment obligations and provisions addressing existing disputes, survive termination.
Responsibility and disputes
To the extent permitted by law, the Services, AI outputs, and all content available through the Services are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, non-infringement, merchantability, and fitness for a particular purpose, beyond those expressly offered. We are not responsible for losses caused by your unauthorized use, your infringement of another person’s rights, content submitted by other users, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
You are responsible for the permissions required for your submissions and for unlawful use you make of the Services or outputs. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Yarnbie is not liable for content submitted by users or for a user’s misuse of an output. To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to indemnify and hold Yarnbie and its owners, staff, and service providers harmless from third-party claims, and the resulting damages, losses, and reasonable costs (including legal fees), that arise from content you submit, your use of outputs, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or of another person’s rights. These Terms do not transfer responsibility for Yarnbie’s own unlawful conduct to you.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Yarnbie’s total liability for all claims relating to the Services or these Terms will in no event exceed TRY 100 in total. This limit applies to all of your claims taken together, whenever and however they arise, and not separately to each claim. It is a maximum limit on liability, not an amount owed or promised to any user. Yarnbie bears the cost of building and operating the Services, including development, AI processing, storage, infrastructure, maintenance, and support, and makes many features available free of charge. The disclaimers and limits in these Terms reflect that allocation of cost and risk, and you acknowledge that Yarnbie would not provide the Services without them.
To the extent legally permitted, Yarnbie excludes liability for indirect or consequential losses and business losses arising from use of the Services, and for loss of access resulting from an enforcement action lawfully and reasonably taken under these Terms. These exclusions do not apply where prohibited by law, including to liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where that liability cannot be excluded. They do not remove mandatory consumer remedies or liability for our own breach of applicable intellectual property or data protection law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including applicable mandatory consumer protections. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.
If a problem arises, contact support@yarnbie.com so we can try to resolve it.
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or relating to them or to the Services, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts and enforcement offices of Ankara, Türkiye have exclusive jurisdiction over any such dispute or claim, and you consent to their jurisdiction. This applies regardless of the country from which you access the Services.
This choice of law and courts does not deprive you of a mandatory protection, or of access to a court, regulator, or consumer dispute process, that the law of your country of residence grants you and that cannot be waived by agreement.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect service or legal changes. The current version is always published on this page with its effective date, and it is your responsibility to review it. Publication on this page is how we give notice of a change; we are not required to notify each user individually. Where we consider it appropriate, or where applicable law requires it, we may in addition ask users to confirm their acceptance of updated Terms through the Services, and may make continued access conditional on that confirmation. Where we do not ask for such confirmation, the version published on this page applies. Unless a later date is stated, updated Terms apply to all users from their effective date, and your continued use of the Services after that date constitutes acceptance of them. If you do not accept updated Terms, you must stop using the Services. Changes do not remove rights that have already accrued.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any purchase terms shown to you, are the entire agreement between you and Yarnbie regarding the Services. If a provision is unenforceable, it applies to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions continue to apply. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your account or your rights under these Terms without our consent; we may transfer ours as part of a reorganization or a sale of the Services, subject to applicable law.
For questions about these Terms, subscriptions, content, or copyright concerns, contact Yarnbie at support@yarnbie.com.
